Job Description:
About the Role we are looking for a skilled Truck Operator to join our clients mining team in the Democratic Republic of the Congo The successful candidate will be responsible for safely operating haul trucks to transport materials and ore within the underground mine site You will be a key part of the mining operation ensuring that materials are moved efficiently and safely from extraction points to designated storage areas Key Responsibilities Operate haul trucks and other mining vehicles to transport ore waste and materials within the mining site Perform pre shift inspections to ensure equipment is in good working condition and report any maintenance issues Follow designated routes load and unload materials safely and ensure correct materials are delivered to appropriate locations Maintain safe operating speeds and adhere to safety guidelines while driving in underground and challenging conditions Assist with minor truck maintenance and refueling as needed Work collaboratively with the mining team and other departments to ensure efficient operations Complete daily reports on truck performance materials moved and any safety or operational incidents Requirements Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience as a truck operator in a mining or heavy vehicle operating role Experience with large mining haul trucks eg CAT Komatsu Volvo in an underground mining environment Ability to operate trucks and other heavy machinery safely and efficiently in challenging underground conditions Strong commitment to safety standards and operational procedures Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team Physically fit reliable and capable of working long hours in a physically demanding environment
